I started this blog in 2009 when I became a full-time caregiver. My husband had been diagnosed a few years earlier with primary progressive aphasia. Over the next four years until his death in 2013, we were on a journey of discovery about this rare condition. The first four years of this blog document that trip. In the years since Allen died, I've been busy with other things. It's time I talked a bit about that!

Taking a break
I am on a brief break from blogging. Back soon. Meanwhile, these visitors to my backyard today joined a pair of king parrots (who wouldn't let me get near enough to photograph) in helping lift my dwindling spirits.
You get such a vast array of gorgeous birds up there - never before have I seen a whipbird so unafraid of humans being near by. Very lucky. You must also post a picture of your limes here - they look very delicious!
Your comments are greatly appreciated, so don't be shy. And if you enjoy reading my blog, please go to the top of Column 1 and become one of my treasured FOLLOWERS. You can comment or follow with your Google identity, or anonymously.
With your busy life and enormous burdens, no wonder, so best wishes for what I hope is recharge time.
