I watched my father die of pneumonia (brought on by congestive heart failure) here in this house in August, 1994. He awakened briefly the day before he died, looked around gratefully at the six or eight or eight people who were visiting, and then he went to sleep for good. I found pneumonia a hard death to watch, and I can but hope you were spared the symptoms he displayed. I am so sorry for you loss.
